Flowers '70
Added over 1 year ago by gracecarr123 via Andy Warhol Andy Warhol’s experimental printmaking techniques, sharp social observations and unique blend of high art and commercialism are on brilliant display in his works from the ‘60s onward. Flowers is based on an appropriated image of hibiscus blossoms that Warhol discovered in a photography magazine. The works in this series feature vivid contrasts between flattened flowers in brilliant shades and dark, ominous backgrounds.
