Nelson Library Index File
Added about 1 year ago by julia839 via George Nelson Herman Miller holds its place in history as perhaps the most influential producer of Mid-Century furniture in the U.S.A. George Nelson, head designer at the company and responsible for much of its modernist aesthetic, designed this library index file. A substantial 30-drawer unit, this catalog would have been designed a part of Herman Miller’s mission to reinvent American office life. Testifying to Nelson’s background as an architect, this blocky cabinet with walnut siding balances itself upon two footed legs: it’s bulk seeming to defy gravity.
