This three-dimensional tactile toy is built from a series of spheres that fit inside each other—think Russian nesting dolls—and must be deconstructed and then fit together again. To play, kids twist the shells against the sphere’s central axis to remove each individual piece...and then reassemble it in the same way. The OBLO is designed to develop and fine-tune the motor skills and hand-eye coordination needed to manipulate pencils, in essence helping little ones prepare for important tasks like writing and drawing.
