Then Stephen Verona went on to direct Barbara Streisand, Chicago, Johnny Cash, Boy George, Santana and countless others. Called the grandfather of the music video by People magazine, Verona is also a painter and photographer and the creator of this lithograph of Andy Warhol. In the work, a trio of Warhols sign one of his famous Campbell’s Soup cans. According to Vanity Fair magazine, “Stephen Verona’s work recalls the greatness of Steichen and Weegee with all the passion of Dorothea Lange and Walker Evans.”
