When he wasn’t designing modern furniture or urban landmarks, the legendary architect Alvar Aalto had his hand in glassware. This miniature bowl is inspired by his award-winning 1936 vase, which features an undulating shape reminiscent of the untamed shores of Finland’s many lakes. This similarly shaped receptacle is suited for holding fruit or other odds and ends—though Aalto himself would have encouraged you to experiment.
