Shellhammer began drawing in high school, sketching male figures in ink. Since then, Bradford’s been busy, but his urge to create quickly resurfaced. Determined to make 100 paintings by Christmas 2010, with the intention of giving them away as gifts, Bradford played with various media, and found his niche in collage. There was a pleasing rhythm to the process, and finally, the desired result. His style hasn’t strayed far from his high school days—though perhaps a bit more abstract—Print 207 still shows his penchant for geometric figures and bright colors.
Originals are made from painted paper that was hand cut into shapes and arranged on a white background by Bradford Shellhammer. This is a photographic digital print on 100lb matte paper. Unframed, open edition.
