This heroic poster of Beethoven was created for an exhibition in 1980. In 1954, with university classmates Seymour Chwast and Ed Sorel, Milton Glaser co-founded the legendary Push Pin Studios, whose work would define modern graphic design. His work is bold, pared-down and yet highly expressive. It is usually as distinct as each client and leaps between media and styles. Now 83, Glaser’s influence on contemporary illustration and design is considered inestimable.
