What started as an academic project for founder Amanda Judge has evolved into a full-fledged business. Partnering with more than 200 artisans from Peru, Vietnam, Swaziland, and Ecuador, the Faire Collection not only betters the lives of local crafters, but it also uses natural materials harvested from South American rainforests to make stunning baubles that are beautiful inside and out. The Bolero Necklace features a fanned pendant composed of slivers of wood, tagua, and bullhorn in autumnal jewel tones.
Total length: 18”. Each sliver pendant is 2.5” long. Loop clasp. Secondary image provided to demonstrate fit, it is not representative of the item's color.

Researching her Master’s thesis on poverty reduction in South America, Amanda Judge concluded that jewelry making was crucial to economic stability. In 2008, her findings inspired the business model for the Andean Collection. Now called the Faire Collection, the fair-trade brand works with artisans in Africa, Asia, and South America on original jewelry designs.
