This is a special, two-color limited edition letterpress print of central Boston and neighboring Cambridge. By using gorgeous, thick 110-pound cotton paper, the raised letters leave a beautiful impression. Since it’s a manual process—unlike modern laser or offset printing—each print is unique, as the ink and paper interact differently with each pressing.
Unframed. Letterpress is a manual printing technique that has not changed much since the mid-15th century—a raised surface is cut onto the printing plate, which is inked and pressed into a sheet of paper to obtain a positive right-reading image. A limited edition run of 100 prints. Each print is signed and numbered.
