Designed by Cordula Kehrer and commissioned by fair trade NGO Preda, the Bow Bin is a whimsical wastebasket made by the indigenous Aeta people of the Philippines using traditional basket-weaving techniques. Crafted with sustainably harvested rattan combined with colorful plastic, it has a simple, unpretentious shape that quickly catches the eye—and asks you to consider the place of craft-based cultures, like that of the Aeta, in a globalized economy.
