Cute, colorful, and charged with an air of modernity, Andy Warhol’s Comouflage prints have a dual nature. On the one hand, they present an abstract image free of direct significance; on the other, they are laden with military connotations. Created by Rosenthal in partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation, this high-quality porcelain coffee cup takes its design from his famous prints, and is a thoughtful gift for that Warhol fanatic in your life—you.

In 1980 Andy Warhol visited Rosenthal AG in Selb to arrange a portrait of founder Philip Rosenthal. Warhol was inspired by his visit to Rosenthal, especially by the atmosphere in Erkersreuth Castle. Based upon Polaroid shots taken in Selb, a later portrait of Philip Rosenthal was created in Warhol's New York 'Factory' Studio.
Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was an American Pop artist who created paintings, screenprints, films, and more, all of which bridged the gap between fine arts and the commercial world. In love with celebrity, image, and popular culture, the timelessness and universality of Warhol's work continues to have a profound influence on all aspects of our culture.
