This necklace is based on the structure of radiolaria, a kind of amoeba found throughout our oceans. The cellular shape was designed via a computer simulation of layered mesh forms continually enclosing the open spaces surrounding them—then 3D-printed on layers of robust nylon. Its complex form would be impossible to manufacture by traditional methods, making this pendant a precious and unique piece.
