Alvar Aalto’s humanistic approach to modernism formed the foundation of Artek, which is known for its fluid, experimental furniture that exemplifies great Nordic design. Aalto’s lacquered, high-backed Chair 66 is made from wood sourced from Finnish forests. The seat sits on L-shaped legs, which are steamed and microwave-heated to achieve their graceful form.
Designed in 1935. Assembly required. Seat height: 17.3”.
