Every morning Burmese monks, who are not allowed to have possessions, go from door to door with bowls, begging for rice. In 2007 thousands of monks stood up against the oppressive Burmese military junta, marching through the streets of Yangon and Mandalay while holding their begging bowls upside down. A photograph for those with a conscience, a portion of the proceeds for each photo sold is donated to the American Red Cross to help with the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.
