The Cucu Ruku Clock is a minimalist revision of the classic cuckoo clock. Designed by Riccardo Paolino and Matteo Fusi for Italian design house Diamantini & Domeniconi, it features a stark, leafless tree against a face of rich wenge wood, with hour and minute hands sculpted to resemble tree limbs. The tiny cuckoo sits poised on the end of a far branch and is controlled by a light sensor (so it doesn’t chirp at night). Oh, bewitch us with your burbling birdsong, sweet cuckoo.
Chirps every hour on the hour, except in the dark. Mounting hardware not included. Requires 2 C batteries (not included). Quartz movement. Designed and made in Italy.
