Fishing For Gyotaku’s Dwight Hwang taught himself traditional Japanese fish printing—used by fishermen in place of taxidermy to memorialize the fish they’ve caught—while living in Tokyo. This signed and stamped print is a reproduction of an original rice paper rubbing that depicts a school of “kou ika” (or “cuttlefish”).
Scanned reproduction of an original gyotaku print by Dwight Hwang. Stamped and signed by the artist. Unframed.
