Flowers were a motif Warhol drew on his entire career. They’re found in early prints and drawing from the 1950s, as well as photos he captured throughout the ’70s and ’80s. The design for the Daisies Bowl is taken from a series of screenprints he created in 1982. Produced by Rosenthal in partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation, this high-quality porcelain bowl is a thoughtful gift for that Warhol fanatic in your life—you.
In 1980 Andy Warhol visited Rosenthal AG in Selb to arrange a portrait of founder Philip Rosenthal. Warhol was inspired by his visit to Rosenthal, especially by the atmosphere in Erkersreuth Castle. Based upon Polaroid shots taken in Selb, a later portrait of Philip Rosenthal was created in Warhol's New York 'Factory' Studio.
