This exquisite silk lined evening cape dates from the late 1920s to the early 1930s. It has an abstract floral pattern woven in shades of orange grounded by ecru and ivory. The lining is china silk, the cape is completely clean finished, is likely reversible as buttons are both inside and out, and drapes quite beautifully as shown in the photos. Buttonholes are all beautifully bound; the covered buttons are woven floral on top and china silk at the base. A shaped seam runs across shoulders, and extra gore of fabric front and back adds fullness. This gently used vintage product is in great condition. This cape is clean: future cleanings should be handled only by a professional conservator. Measurements: Length at center back: 38". Sweep: 163". Collar height at center back: 4".
