Handmade by Ampersand in Cincinnati, Ohio from locally sourced hard maple and American-made brass, the Delta Side Stool is a warm, contemporary design constructed using no hardware or adhesives. Instead, this ingeniously engineered piece is held together by the weight and arrangement of its self-supporting triangular pattern. Inspired by the processes inherent in handcrafted production, as well as the ever-present bundles of wheat that decorate the American heartland, this piece is a testament to the beauty of quality craftsmanship.
Ampersand began in 2009 to create art informed by the human experience. Founded by Tim Karoleff, who calls Dror Benshetrit and Jonah Becker mentors, the Cincinnati-based brand creates objects that fuse function and emotion in thoughtful, relatable designs. Its popular works include barnacle-inspired cardboard Wallpockets and a flower-like pendant lamp called Bloom.
