Missouri-based CoMod might find itself landlocked, but the design studio has a thing for the coastal cool of California Modern style. The two-year-old studio strives to promote Mid-Century design by restoring clean, simple classics and making new pieces in the same vein. This rare Eames Armchair Rocker for Herman Miller is from the transitional years, a period of production where its chairs featured a paper label attached to their undersides. Its shell has both the label and production date of January 1959.
Fiberglass shell with new black powder-coated base with maple runners. Seat height: 16”. Shell features bottom label printed with production date of “Jan 1959.” This gently used vintage product is in good condition. Light discoloration to shell with minimal edge wear; no cracks or chips.
