Missouri-based CoMod might find itself landlocked, but the design studio has a thing for the coastal cool of California Modern style. The two-year-old studio strives to promote Mid-Century design by restoring clean, simple classics and making new pieces in the same vein. This rare Eames Armchair Rocker from Herman Miller is from the transitional years, a period of production where its chairs featured a paper label attached to their undersides. Its salmon-colored shell sits on a new powder-coated steel base with birch runners.
