In photographer Espen Rasmussen’s words: "It was my last day in Balakot, Pakistan, covering the aftermath of the massive earthquake that killed tens of thousands and left areas in ruin. I went to the main mosque to view the Friday prayer. It was a pile of rubble, but still people attended in large numbers. This represents hope for me.” A photograph for those with a conscience, a portion of the proceeds for each photo sold is donated to the American Red Cross to help with the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.
