Function, like beauty, is often in the eye of the beholder. That’s the case with the Face Tabletop Frame, designed for Authentics by Sebastian Bergne. This three-dimensional, prismatic piece can display small memorabilia, photographs, cards—or all simultaneously, when strategically placed. Simply tuck two-dimensional ephemera into its flat front side, then add tiny trinkets to the spacious area behind, and rotate it whenever the mood strikes.
Frame can stand upright or lay flat on its face, depending on what you wish to display.
Born in Tehran in 1966, Sebastian Bergne is known for simple, paired-down products with a hint of playfulness. The London designer opened his studio in 1990 after graduating from the Royal College of Art, and has since partnered with international brands like MUJI, Vitra and De Beers. Bernge’s work is in the permanent collections of MoMA and London’s Design Museum.
