Dutch designer Marie Michielssen sees ordinary objects as an opportunity to surprise the senses. Her Fluorescent Basket is adelightfully deconstructed design with a two-toned woven base—half neon, half neutral—that gives way to a wire frame, left entirely exposed at the top.

Dutch brothers Axel and Serge Van den Bossche initially launched Serax in 1987 as a line of flower pots. The brand grew to encompass a wide variety of items, with a focus on home accents and floral-related objects. Currently based in Kontich, Belgium, Serax has worked with Marie Michielssen, Moniek Vanden Berghe, Roose Van de Velde, and other leading designers.
