One of the most important industrial designers of the 20th century, Achille Castiglioni is perhaps best known for the visionary lamps he created for FLOS. A master of modern lighting, he often adapted, referenced, or improved upon existing objects in his inventive, witty work. A tiny steel dome forms the top of the Frisbi pendant. It beams light through a hole at the center of a translucent diffuser disc, which is suspended by a trio of steel cables but appears to float in mid-air.
Designed 1978. 192” cord. Hardwiring required.
