It’s said that some of the best ideas come from a need to innovate. Conceived in the 1880s and patented in 1920, this Seatmore ice cream parlor chair, made by Frank Rieder & Sons, was specifically designed to allow for more seating in mom-and-pop drug stores and soda shops. This great-looking utilitarian chair is missing a cross bar, however, due to the design, the chair is still sturdy and usable.
