In photographer JB Reed’s words: “I spent a year in Kenya photographing the everyday life of young men in Nairobi's Mathare Valley slums. One of the most charismatic people I met was Charles. Tall and muscular with an easy smile and a bottomless sense of humor, he was trying to become the first from Mathare Valley to play for the National Team.”A photograph for those with a conscience, a portion of the proceeds for each photo sold is donated to the American Red Cross to help with the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.
