Designer Molly Condit recalls a visit to Massaca, Mozambique, where she witnessed the resourcefulness of local children building toys of discarded cans and trash. This practice of extraordinary upcycling lives on in her jewelry, which is constructed of vintage watch parts, typewriter keys, and foreign coins. A self-described cat lady, Condit puts her money where the catnip is, donating a portion of every sale to felines in need.
