For Tom Dixon, a light is much more than a discrete object—it’s a performer. By privileging honest materials and energetic forms with whispers of modernism’s glory days, a certain zeal shines through his exacting creations. The Lean Light is a table light with a hollow base and slender arm. It’s made by pouring liquid iron into a sand mold—a process known as sand casting. With a powder-coated finish, the red light boasts a vibrant glossy surface.
