In 2007, Daniel Cytrynowicz founded Lamp-In-A-Box to break the stereotype of that anonymous light source in the corner of the room. The company transforms lampshades into illuminated art canvases, with subjects ranging from vintage advertisements to black and white photographic landscapes. Its archive of over 1000 images continually grows by popular demand, and includes Beatles iconography, vintage Coca-Cola advertisements, and the acclaimed comic art of Lou Brooks.
