Abe Lincoln once said, “Whatever you are, be a good one.” When it comes to graphic designers, Milton Glaser isn’t just one of the good ones, he’s arguably the best. In his four-decade career, the New Yorker has created expressive images that have deeply influenced visual communications and always offer food for thought. We think Honest Abe would approve. Inspired by a viewing of Stephen Spielberg’s critically acclaimed biopic, Glaser created this Lincoln poster—which is signed by the designer—in homage to one of America’s finest thinkers and leaders.
