Italian design master Vico Magistretti created the gently curved silhouette of the Maui chair for Kartell in 2005. Its subtly arched polypropylene seat has a dramatically cinched center, creating a minimalist, hourglass-like form, and is supported by chrome-plated steel legs. This one-armed version incorporates a writing surface for books or a cup of tea. Lightweight and versatile, the polished piece was one of Magistretti’s final products.
