Originally a painter, Wilhem Kage became one of Sweden’s most innovative ceramics designers during the early to mid 1900s. Working as an art director for Gustavsberg, Kage designed more than 30 different table settings over his career, ranging from imaginative, geometric vessels to inexpensive workers’ pieces meant for wider audiences. This set includes three mid-century nesting bowls from Kage’s Gra Rander (Gray Lines) collection, which was produced between 1930-55. Each piece features a swooping white body, which is accented by simple grey lines along the top edges.
