Hailed for his fusion of whimsical silhouettes and modern materials, Tord Boontje designed the Midsummer Light for Artecnica in 2004. The paper-like pendant consists of two cascading layers of tear- and water-resistant Tyvek that was die cut into an extravaganza of flowers and forest creatures. Draped over a protective heat-blocking diffuser, the multi-award-winning piece emits a warm, enchanting glow.
