It’s Manhattan…almost. The flavor of the Vertical City has been distilled, remixed, and set free in the wild, anime-inspired New York Poster by the Berlin-based digital design collective, eBoy. In a style that lies somewhere between Where’s Waldo and Akira, this 8-bit visual narrative depicts actions that serve as both comic relief and subtle social criticism of the city. An extra-large digital print—almost four feet wide and three feet high—offers a spectacular format for such intricate, illustrative work.
CMYK offset digital print. Unframed.

Based in Berlin’s dynamic art scene, eBoy is a multidisciplinary digital design studio run by Kai Vermehr, Steffen Sauerteig, and Svend Smital. eBoy creates remarkably detailed 8-bit illustrations—called “Pixorama”—as well as toys and animation. Its collaborations include wall decals for Blik and print advertising for Coca-Cola’s Open Happiness campaign in Belfast.
