Italian design master Vico Magistretti created the gently curved silhouette of this Nihau Chair for Kartell in 2005. Its flexible polypropylene body fans out from either end of its cinched center, creating a minimalist, butterfly-like form, and is supported by chrome-plated steel legs. Magistretti, a founding member of the ADI, the Italian Association of Industrial Design, paid special attention to the construction of the chair’s shell, which has a soft, rounded thickness that’s ergonomic and ultra-comfortable.
