Vitra got its start in the 1950s manufacturing work by the Eameses and George Nelson. These days, the Swiss furniture company is an authoritative resource for world-class design. This Panton Junior chair is based on the same proportions and material as Verner Panton’s legendary Panton Chair, but is about a quarter smaller. The designer considered making a child-sized version in the ’60s, but production issues made it impossible to manufacture. Thanks to advances in plastic technology, Vitra released this sleek, pint-sized seat in 2006.
