Photographer Frank Worth was charming, witty and immediately struck up a rapport with those he photographed. Jayne Mansfield—pictured in this stunning black-and-white image from 1954—was just one star who fell under his spell. Not only did they have an affair, but she owes her entire career to him: The Jayne Mansfield Fan Club newsletter of May 1987 credits Frank with her discovery. Worth’s friend, Burt Kaiser, produced Female Jungle, the first film to feature Mansfield.
