This hefty side table is fashioned from a slab of cottonwood, one of many trees that were part of a rehabilitation effort and cleared from burn areas in the woodlands by New Mexico’s Rio Grande River. Transformed into a smart shape and coated with a non-toxic finish, this beautiful Pfeifer Studio design shows various separations, splits, and cracks that naturally occur as the wood dries and shrinks. Over time, some continued shrinkage may accentuate existing separations or generate new ones, meaning each table is a one-of-a-kind design.
Due to the materials and method of production your table may vary slightly from the image shown. The table’s resin and oil finish provides UV protection and builds an elastic, water-resistant surface that weathers well.
