A picture says a thousand words quite literally in this impressive poster. This map details the streets and highways, parks, neighborhoods, waterways, and physical features of Seattle using nothing but type. From downtown on Puget Sound’s Elliott Bay through Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, Lake Union, and beyond, the work will take you through the city’s neighborhoods in words and letters. Every single piece of type was manually placed, a process that took hundreds of hours to complete. This full-color digital print is ideal for anyone who appreciates the art of the written word.
Unframed. Everything in this print was created manually in Adobe Illustrator, from entering names over an OpenStreetMap image, to nudging text along curved paths to depict flowing water, to selectively erasing text to create a woven street pattern.
