This Sejjadeh change tray is inspired by the flooring in Eastern Mediterranean residencies during the 1930s and 1940s. Covered with ceramic tiles of various patterns, the floors were unrivalled for their broad repertoire of colors, arabesque motifs, and graphics. Juxtaposed, the tiles created a gigantic picture, which led to their common nickname of “sejjadeh” or carpet.
