Families that play together stay together. Here’s one way to play: The Shadow Theatre from the Chicago-based craft company Owly Shadow Puppets. Just what you need to stay entertained on a rainy day. To set up your theater at home, hang the stage in a doorway like a curtain and turn off the lights (but make sure to backlight the theatre by leaving a light on behind the curtain). Next, make your own shadow puppets (hand shadow puppets work great) or get a few from Owly. Then place your puppets between the light and the fabric to cast shadows on the screen. Action!
Includes hand-silkscreened shadow curtain only. The closer your puppets are to the curtain, the sharper their shadows will be.
