It can’t help but draw the eye. And paired with a plant, a beautiful swath of ivy or the severe stems of any carnivorous bit of vegetation, it creates a living still life. This spectacular curiosity was created by artist and Beetle & Flor founder, Christine Facella. Starting with a real skunk skull, Facella models a replica out of raw porcelain and finishes the teeth with 14-karat gold luster, creating a piece for those of us seeking the unusual—or those who know that death can be a celebration of life.
Designed and produced by Beetle & Flor in Brooklyn, NY.
