Alvar Aalto’s humanistic approach to modernism formed the foundation of Artek, which is known for its fluid, experimental furniture that exemplifies great Nordic design. The slim silhouette of Aalto’s Stool E60 allows for easy stacking and storage in small spaces. Made of wood sourced from Finnish forests, the seat sits on L-shaped legs, which are steamed and microwave-heated to achieve their graceful form.
Designed in 1936. Assembly required.
