This holiday season, surprise ’em with old-school razzle-dazzle. Brooklyn-based Kings County Salvage has carefully handpicked an intriguing hodgepodge of odds and ends, in the hopes that you’ll find the perfectly unexpected gift for you and yours. This collection includes a bunch of naughty playing cards, Christmas and Hanukkah thread, a New Years Eve survival kit, Xmas lights, noisemakers from the 1950s and ’60s, and much more. There are even a couple bars of Lifebuoy soap—as seen in A Christmas Story. Scavenge dutifully and find the ideal vintage gift.
Kings County Salvage
Armed with an eye for farm and factory salvage, Valerie Bowers-Coombs spent years sharing her finds at the Brooklyn Flea market before opening up a permanent storefront in Williamsburg, NY in 2011. The shop, known as Kings County Salvage, stocks a wide range of goods. Each treasure is as wildly unexpected as a pair of deer antlers, or as quaint as a jar of old keys.
