“Toys represent a microcosm of man’s world and dreams,” Alexander Girard once said. “They exhibit fantasy, imagination, humor, and love.” The iconic designer made an entire family of Wooden Dolls for his Santa Fe home, which were inspired by his extensive collection of popular art. This whimsical creature is based on documents and originals found in the Girard Estate held by the Vitra Design Museum.
