When it opened in 1947, the MEPRA factory in Northern Italy produced flatware exclusively from the region’s raw aluminum and brass. A switch to 18/10 stainless steel inspired further experimentation with materials, like durable, heat-resistant silicone—now considered an essential in most kitchens. Painstakingly produced in that family factory, the Carmella Flatware Set merges stainless steel with comfortable bonded silicone handles. This colorful crop of cutlery has durable construction to match its rich design heritage.
