This Cookable Tagine hails from Nabeul, Tunisia—a region celebrated for ceramics for over 2,000 years. Made of clay, a material known to enhance food’s flavor and preserve its nutritional qualities throughout the cooking process, the exquisite earthenware dish was painted by hand at Le Souk Ceramique’s small studio without the use of machinery, decals, or stencils. This pot is ideal for cooking on the stove over low heat, and can be used to prepare a range of dishes, from traditional Moroccan stews to pumpkin pie.
