NYC-based designer Kiel Mead has a penchant for turning everyday objects into precious collectibles. To make the rhino pendant on the adorable Rhino Necklace, Mead employs the old artisan tradition of making a master mold from an actual toy. The mold is then hand-cast in brass, plated in silver, and strung on a delicate sterling silver chain. Which, consequently, is what transforms the behemoth creature into a playful, elegant object of desire.
