Legend has it that a classic cocktail was born at the Cock ’n Bull Pub in Hollywood in the late 1940s. A frustrated vodka exec (people hated the taste) and pub owner (desperate to sell his spicy ginger beer) combined their failed ingredients, added lime, poured it in an unusual mug, and deemed it The Moscow Mule. With that, the American vodka craze began. Serve an authentic, ass-kicking Mule with Old Dutch’s original mug, made from copper with a nickel lining. Finished with a brass handle and a resilient lacquer, this mug is a design for the decades.
Set of 4. Each mug holds 24oz. Lacquered to resist tarnishing. Recipe included. To make a Moscow Mule: Squeeze .5oz lime juice into mug, and drop in the spent shell. Add 2 or 3 ice cubes, then pour in 2oz vodka. Fill the mug with 4-6oz with cold ginger beer (not ginger ale). Serve with a stirring rod.
